The second part of the photoshoot was the “studio” aspect, where we showed most of the utilised instruments and way of recording the album was recorded, like tape recorders, guitars, bass, keyboard and synths.

The concept for this album was, to incorporate photography and graphic design in a single product. Also it was really important, to pay attention to Mike’s inspiration for this album, which included analogue and offline sounds from nature, simplicity, creativity and interpretational freedome.
For the cover it was about combining a photo I took a while ago and merging some retro-looking layers on top of it, which transformed really simple looking image into something interesting to look at. To achive this interesting and analogue and inperfect looking style, a lot of attention went into the search for the right font and the application of layers on top of it as well, enough to make it stand out, without compromising the impact of the photo itself.
Another aspect of this concept was the photoshoot, for the promotion and the image on different platforms like Instagram, Spotify, Apple Music and many more. The focus and theme here was nature, vintage and the purity of making music the “old way”. Showing instruments used to produce the album was really important here, so we incorporated the synthesiser in the photos as well.
